Boathouse Interiors : Boat Lift Systems
Boat Lift Systems

Boatlifts are a very integral part of every boathouse. Since we build boathouses on virtually every Southeast Texas Lake, Pond, Private Lake, Reservoir, River, Creek, Bayou, and even down along the Texas Coast and throughout the Galveston Bay Complex, we install literally hundreds of vessel lifts into our boathouses, on our piers, and in our marinas every year.

Lift Systems On Boathouses, Piers, Docks, & Marinas

The older style of boat lift system which is still very popular especially in shallow water, uses weighted polyester straps to hold the boat hull while lifting and storing. But it is highly important to keep in mind that some vessel hulls can easily be damaged if lifted with strap systems. So by far the best lift system will have a steel or aluminum lift frame that will cradle the vessel hull without creating any single pressure points.

Boat Lift Frames

Lift frames are custom designed for each style of vessel and for the different weights and hull configuration as well. A V-hull boat lift will require a different lift frame style than a pontoon boat lift does.

Personal Watercraft Lifts

Personal Watercrafts such as SeaDoos, Yamaha Wave Runners, Kawasaki Jetskis, Honda Aqua-Trax, require a different type of hull frame which can actually be attached to either an overhead lift system or can be mounted on various single lifts. You can hang two or more PWCs from an overhead lift system but we recommend that only two be lifted with each lift system. It can be extremely difficult to park more than two PWCs on a single frame, especially if the water gets rough. There are many types of lifts that can harbor a single watercraft.

Among the most popular that Waterside Construction offers is the deck-mounted swing-style lift system.

Professional Ski Boat Lift Systems

Professional style water ski vessels such as Mastercraft, Ski Nautique, Malibu, Moomba, and Supra vessels with brass prop-shafts and finlets on the hulls will require a special "Dove Tail" style of lift frame in order to channel the vessel onto the lift without damaging the unique vessel equipment required for keeping professional waterskiers tethered to their vessel while giving the skier the proper resistance required to do their various tricks.

Lift Installation

All of our lift systems are professionally installed using a professional lift installation sub-contractor: Raymond Smith. This is all Raymond Smith does is install lifts, so he and his crews are very good at the task. They only install the top-of-the-line lift systems and with their professional knowledge can offer various peripheral services associated with vessel lifting such as remote controls, frame guides, and highly custom style frames for older or unusual hull designs.
