Boardwalks : Commercial Boardwalks
Commercial Boardwalks Add value to your property today. We have built many beautiful boardwalks on Lake Livingston near the Trinity River.

Our boardwalks are always designed and constructed using full-dimensional timber stringers drilled and bolted to 6x6 or 8x8 posts and pilings. The decking is usually 2x8 or 2x10 milled lumber, but in some cases the project budget allows composite decking. The design is simple, but in most cases our design exceeds most others due to the full-dimension timber requirement that is our base specification for all projects. We never use milled lumber for structural stringer purposes, only for decking. The carpentry will always be superb, using a router and sanded, and never the old rough construction appearance and finish as has historically been the normal and expected marine construction style. Fasteners are either hot dip galvanized or stainless steel 20d (4” long) ring shank nails for decking, and hot dip galvanized steel bolts for structural. Coated decking screws are used for composite decking applications.

Commercial Boardwalks:
Some shopping centers, bait and curio stores, fuel centers around marinas and launches are where an extra level of structure is normally designed in, so that these boardwalks can support the additional weight of occasional carts and equipment that will pass over and sometimes be stored on them. Waterside Construction’s marine design department is well aware of the special conditions and requirements that set these installations apart from residential style construction where budgets are often a higher level requirement in the overall scheme.
