Bridges : Open Timber Bridges
Open Timber Bridges We are one of the only local Timber Bridge Design/Builders left in the Lake Livingston area. Our timber bridges are designed to be beautiful and immediately upon installation carry large loads. Its the only way to build them and in most cases concrete and steel are not required. We drive 8x8 or larger pilings and can do just about any span required. Round pilings are also available and in a lot of cases are the better choice.

In most cases bulkheaded buttressed peninsulas can be built out from each bank and a span of 12-14 feet can be bridged without the use of piling rows. This saves money and is the strongest design. But in places where it is desired the entire bridge can be built upon sets of pilings set about 10 to 14 feet apart utilizing large bridge beam rows for structural support.

Each situation is designed per the customer's requirements and in most cases can provide access for general foot traffic and golf carts to large heavy emergency and fire fighting vehicles, concrete pump trucks and construction delivery trucks.

Depending on the size of the pilings used these bridges can have a lifetime of 40 to 100 years or more..
